De forma general, la altura recomendada para la instalación de la encimera, incluyendo el lavabo, se sitúa entre los 85 y 90 cm desde el suelo, lo que permite una usabilidad cómoda para la mayoría de usuarios adultos. No obstante, esta medida puede ajustarse en función de factores como: El tipo de lavabo (sobre encimera, integrado, bajo encimera). Las características del mobiliario o soporte. La estatura media de los usuarios previstos (por ejemplo, en instalaciones infantiles o geriátricas). Normativas de accesibilidad aplicables al proyecto. En baños públicos o de uso compartido, se recomienda mantener la altura estándar para asegurar la máxima funcionalidad.
