The first tower of the two skyscrapers which are being constructed in Haikou, China, forming part of the largest ventilated facade project ever created with the solid surface is nearly complete. The work began with the South Tower, which will soon be used as an office building. The North Tower, which will form part of the Sofitel hotel chain, now has scaffolding prepared for the installation of the compact mineral from PORCELANOSA Group.

As anecdotal information, the construction of the South Tower began with its upper section, at 160 metres high. The quantity of KRION® used to date on this Project is 23,500m2, divided into 12,000 pieces made in Spain and assembled during construction. During the installation of the anchoring system patented by Butech, it passed one of the most extreme tests that a material can be subjected to, the Rammasun super typhoon; the biggest typhoon in the last 40 years in this part of Asia which is accustomed to bad weather conditions. The FV KRION® system demonstrated its inflexibility and resistance, excelling in this meteorological test.
