Krion® Line: simpler and more optimized
2025-02-17.
This new solid surface has been developed to meet the needs of both residential and retail projects, where each space may require different technical, aesthetic and functional solutions.
In design and construction, the search for materials that combine performance and visual appeal is constant. Every project needs surfaces that can respond to specific requirements while supporting the overall concept of the space.
With this in mind, Krion PORCELANOSA Grupo has taken a step forward. Together with its R&D&I team, the company has developed an optimized version of its well-known solid surface, created to provide an efficient solution for projects with specific needs.
Composition and applications of Krion® Line
The new material is Krion® Line. Its composition is based mainly on a high mineral content, Alumina Trihydrate (ATH), polyester resin with an organic binder, and natural inorganic pigments used for decoration, which help provide durability to the material.
Available in 9 different models, Krion® Line has been designed for furniture, continuous surfaces, linear interior cladding, bathrooms and kitchens in both residential and contract environments where thermoforming is not required. This helps simplify installation while optimizing project resources.
Properties and main features
Strong, solid and homogeneous, Krion® Line stands out for its ability to be cut and drilled without generating stress in the material. It also allows joints to be created with a nearly seamless appearance.
Available in 760 x 3680 mm sheets with a thickness of 12 mm, this material offers impact resistance. Its almost zero porosity makes it hygienic and easy to maintain. It is repairable, resistant to abrasion and impact, and can withstand fire exposure without spreading flames, achieving B-s1-d0 certification.

Advantages of Krion® Line compared with other materials
-
Design flexibility: Although Krion® Line is not thermoformable, its adaptability and ease of handling make it possible to create customized shapes and distinctive designs that may be difficult to achieve with other materials.
-
Easy maintenance: Unlike porous materials that require periodic sealing, Krion® Line is low maintenance. Regular cleaning with mild soap and water is enough, making it a practical choice for many types of spaces.
-
Customization and sink integration: Krion® Line countertops allow a wide range of sinks to be integrated with no visible joints, improving both the appearance and hygiene of the surface by reducing areas where dirt can accumulate.
-
Stain resistance: Thanks to its low porosity, Krion® Line offers strong resistance to stains from food and chemical products, outperforming other materials that may stain more easily.
-
Impact resistance: Due to its composition, Krion® Line offers an excellent balance between impact resistance and flexibility, compared with other materials that may resist scratches but can be more fragile under strong impact.
-
Repairability: In the event of scratches or minor damage, Krion® Line can be repaired and polished easily, unlike other materials that may require full replacement when damaged.
-
Competitive cost: Krion® Line offers a competitive balance between quality and price, providing an attractive and functional product while helping optimize project resources.
In short, Krion® Line brings together efficiency, quality and cost optimization, offering a simplified solid surface solution with the essential features needed for unique projects. Discover how Krion® Line can help transform your spaces.
