KRION® en el Centro de Ciencia del Café

In the city of Campo Major, in the Alentejo region of Portugal, we find the Centro de Ciencia del Café (Coffee Science Centre). On the southern facade of the building, Óscar Lopez and César Cintas, technical director and creative director, respectively, of Reinadecorazones, have designed three islands made from the compact mineral KRION®, by the Porcelanosa Group. This is a terrace of over one hundred square metres in which we find a combination of tables and benches, which allow the visitor to enjoy the magnificent views of the vineyards of the Portuguese landscape.

Carpintería Santano has been chosen by Reinadecorazones to carry out this project in which KRION® and cherry blossom wood are combined to create balance with the environment. The large format table must be emphasised, “that allows you to sit, lie or walk… sometimes the common use of designs must be broken away from to open the minds of users,” explain the designers.
