KRION® by OCF in the counter of a Christophe Michalak establishment - Solid Surface

Recognised as one of the 10 best pastry chefs in the world, Christophe Michalak is a clear example of excellence being no accident. He has worked as a chef in important patisseries in London, Tokyo, New York, Brussels and Nice, and last year opened a new shop in Marais, at the centre of Paris, for which OCF, specialised in refrigerator counters and transforming the Solid Surface from PORCELANOSA Group, was entrusted with its transformation for the spectacular KRION® counter in the chef’s patisserie establishment.

Guillaume Zanlorenzi, manager of OCF, explained the complex project carried out at the heart of the French capital: “Christophe Michalak wanted a counter 5 metres long. This was created with a single piece, with curves of very specific diameters. The main technical challenge was to create a compact piece in which widening and joins would not be a later problem. We are all very proud of the final result.”

KRION® is an ideal material for this type of establishment, due to its properties – easy cleaning, anti-bacterial without additives, reparable, suitable for use with food – making it one of the best options for the restaurant sector.
