In the city of Casablanca, Morocco, the award-winning Villa Gapi restaurant project is found, by Moroccan architect Lofti Sidirahal, head of POD Arquitectura, winner of the “A' Design Award“ awarded in 2015 for this work.
Gapi is a luxury restaurant and catering company created in 1997. During 2015 it opened a new establishment which changed the course of the company. This turning point was Villa Gapi, a tea room, patisserie and chic bistro restaurant at the centre of Casablanca. It has 3 floors which are 8 metres high, and an area of 960m2, within a site of 550m2, divided between basement kitchen, lower floor tea room and café, and first floor restaurant.
We find KRION®, the compact mineral from PORCELANOSA Group, on the facade of this innovative design, in which KRION® adopts the essence of a second skin, in the form of numerous thermoformed and twisted 25cm high sheets, covering the whole facade, reaching inside the establishment, evoking the wrapping of a box of cakes.
