Centro Borgo, Bologna (Italy) a reinterpretation created with KRION®

07/03/2016

The Centro Borgo is a project of such importance that it has required a team of the highest standing, in this case IGD, and the INRES architecture studio, with Paul Avellini as architect, and the great help of Area-17 engineering. The result is clear in the Italian city of Bologna. Through colour as the main architectural element, and the elimination of lines between exterior and interior spaces, this centre has been made into a unique work.

The exterior facade of the building is made with the compact mineral from PORCELANOSA Group, KRION®, in its 1100 Snow White version, machined and partially backlit. It is a contemporary reinterpretation of the old walls covered with plants through which one could climb; and today evokes the romanticism of ingenuity. The project was undertaken by the PORCELANOSA Group company Butech.
