Krion® Line, simpler, more optimal

2025-02-17.

This new solid surface has been created to meet the needs of new projects, both residential and retail, each of which has different specifications and requirements.

In the world of design and construction, the search for materials that combine aesthetics and functionality is constant. Materials that meet and adapt to each of the requirements of the project.

In this context, Krion PORCELANOSA Grupo has wanted to go one step further and, together with its R&D&I team, has developed a new optimised version of its well-known solid surface, which promises to break into the market to provide a solution to projects with different specific needs.

Composition and applications of Krion® Line

The new material is Krion®Line and is composed, for the most part, of a high mineral charge, alumina trihydrate (ATH), polyester resin with organic binder and natural inorganic pigments are used for decoration to give the material durability. With 9 different models, Krion® Line has been designed to be installed in furniture, continuous surfaces, linear interior cladding, bathrooms and kitchens, both in residential and contract environments, which do not require thermoforming. This not only simplifies the installation process, but also optimises project resources.

Properties and characteristics

Robust, solid and homogeneous, one of the most outstanding characteristics of Krion® Line is its ability to be cut and perforated without generating tensions, as well as allowing practically imperceptible joints. Available in sheets of 760 x 3680 mm and with a thickness of 12 mm, this material is impact resistant. Its almost non-porosity makes it hygienic and easy to maintain. It is repairable, resistant to abrasion and knocks and withstands exposure to fire without spreading flames, obtaining the B s1 d0 certificate.
