KRION® in the refurbishment of the Don Pancho Hotel

Over the last five decades, tourism in Spain has become one of the country’s most important economic drivers. This growth has been shaped by many entrepreneurial families, including the Torrubia family. In the early 1970s, when Benidorm, Alicante, was still closely connected to its fishing-village origins, the Torrubias developed one of the first luxury hotels on the Costa Blanca: the Don Pancho Hotel. Today, it remains one of the city’s most recognisable hospitality landmarks.
The Don Pancho Hotel has maintained its reputation for elegance through exclusive services and continuous improvements to its facilities. Its latest refurbishment reflects this commitment to quality, with eight companies from the PORCELANOSA Group taking part in the project.
According to hotel owner Alejandro Torrubia, “The new façade, made with KRION, is the element we are most proud of.” Butech, the PORCELANOSA Group company specialising in technical construction solutions, was responsible for installing the façade in the 1100 Snow White shade.
KRION is also present in several areas of the Don Pancho Hotel, including communal spaces, bathrooms, the bar and the buffet area. In the rooms, it has been used for worktops and shower trays, contributing to a coherent and refined interior design throughout the hotel.
